Clarion West will have a party at Wiscon from 9 PM to around midnight on Friday, May 23, in Room 607 of the Concourse Hotel, to celebrate our upcoming 25th consecutive workshop. I know a lot of you will be there, from all over the US and across the Atlantic, and I look forward to seeing you.

Can any of you help with party setup or cleanup? Anybody who will have a car available for shopping on Thursday afternoon, Friday morning, or very early Friday afternoon?

And I know about some of your readings and panels, but not all. Who all is reading at this Wiscon? I know about three book launches (Ysabeau Wilce, Devid Levine, and Nisi Shawl); who else is launching a book this weekend?

Who's going to Bittercon with Eugene instead?

I'll be reading with my group at the godawful hour of BEFORE 9 AM on a Saturday. Any friendly audience would be greatly appreciated.

No, no launches - my new one hit the bookshops two months ago and the next one is still just discombobulated proofs. But I'll come say hi at the party!

Bittercon for me. But next year, Wiscon, dammit.

Reading with the CW2004+2 group 8.30am Sunday. And yes, I'll happily help with set-up/clean-up for the party. :)

Hey Kate: I'll come help you set up. And Charlie's Post was our usual Toolpunk reading. Except it's about Shadows. And not as graphic, so you can come. If you can get up at 8:30 am on Sunday!

Debbie

When? With a name like that, I assume it will be late at night.

That is awfully early to schedule a reading for someone coming from the west coast. I hope you manage to get time-adjusted before Saturday.

It's always great to see you, and it's good that your current book is properly launched.

Next year in Madison, yes. If you're going to Bittercon, I expect you and Eugene to post lively con reports.

Thanks! Sounds like there will be enough people for set-up/clean-up, and it will be a guaranteed time for adult conversation about vegetables and cheese. Now all I need to do is find transportation to obtain vegetables and cheese. And beer. Must get beverage. Must make sure to take shopping list (generic convention party shopping list already made).

Thanks! By Sunday morning I may be adjusted to that time zone. I'm intrigued by the Shadows theme. I have an unfinished story about shadows myself; every once in a while I get another paragraph or two and write them down. There may be a plot some day.

It will be great to see you. I'd been wondering if you'd be up for travel this year.

Um, I can probably help.
I'm trying to avoid committing exact chunks of time until I've seen the program, but there's slack between dinner time and party time, and teardown is no problem.
