Patio pictures
Jun. 27th, 2017 03:37 pmLet's see if I can create an entry with way more pictures than anyone wants to see. Furthermore, let's see if I can keep from overloading my friends' feeds with said pictures.

Building the ramp:

Two years ago, the yard looked pretty stark after all that construction. Now, it's a lot greener again.

And this year, Glenn rebuilt the deck, which we originally built twenty years ago. The new deck is just like the old deck, except that the boards are shiny and new and not rotting away.

Date: 2017-06-28 04:05 am (UTC)(Wanna come visit Toad Woods? I have a much bigger deck that needs replacing, and a few retaining walls would look really good while being useful, too. Just in case you'd like to relive the experience two years later on the other side of the country, of course....)

Date: 2017-06-28 04:43 am (UTC)There's a Botticelli exhibit at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston that I would really, really like to see, but getting to that side of the country is just not happening this year.

Date: 2017-06-28 05:13 am (UTC)But thanks to your mention of it, I'm now trying to figure out if I can get over to Boston one evening at the end of next week. If Gavi is free, we could both go on her museum pass! (She works at the Harvard Art Museums and has admissions reciprocity at a remarkable number of museums and similar facilities/organizations. She's finishing that job in early August before moving down to Connecticut. We really haven't managed to do nearly as much exploring as we intended when she first used it last fall when we went to the apple festival at Tower Hill botanic garden. So, yes, a July outing or two would be a wonderful thing, indeed, and not only for the joy of spending time in each other's company. Thanks!
Do know you and yours are welcome whenever it works.
