Virtual Lust interview
Jun. 9th, 2008 10:40 amI'm stunned to realize that I hadn't post this Clarion West PR on LJ yet. Less than two weeks to go until this humorous and enlightening event:
Virtual Lust: Nancy Pearl interviews William Gibson – A benefit for Clarion West’s 25th Anniversary
Nancy Pearl, the rock star of librarians, interviews the ubercool author William Gibson at a benefit for Clarion West on Friday, June 20 at Kane Hall on the University of Washington campus. Find out more at www.clarionwest.org.
The Virtual Lust interview takes place from 7:30 – 8:45 p.m. in Kane Hall, Room 120, and includes time for written questions from the audience. Current Clarion West members or Locus Awards attendees will be admitted to the interview for free; all others will pay $10. Pre-signed books will be for sale by University Book Store before the interview.
From 9 – 10:30 p.m., Clarion West will host a limited attendance star-studded reception with Nancy Pearl and William Gibson in Kane Hall’s Walker Ames Room. Current Clarion West members and Locus Awards attendees will be admitted to the reception for a $15 donation, all others for $25.
To buy full price tickets or find out more, visit the Clarion West website at www.clarionwest.org. If you’re a member, or you’d like to become one, contact members@clarionwest.org to reserve your free and discounted admissions.
NPR commentator Nancy Pearl is the author of Book Lust and is the only librarian with her own action figure. William Gibson is the author of Spook Country, Pattern Recognition, and Virtual Light.

There are plenty of tickets left for the interview, but the reception is nearly full now.
