Two years ago, my friend akirlu gave me a copy of a Christmas sampler called "Gaudete 'Til You Drop." It includes five different renditions of "Gaudete" and a bunch of other non-standard Christmas carols and songs (many in Latin, some with gratuitous hippopotamus). It whomps the little drummer boy's tiny butt.

My fairly large collection of Christmas CDs includes relatively few renditions of Gaudete, so I went off searching for a copy of "Gaudete 'Til You Drop" for myself, only to find your earlier post explaining that ariklu not only gave it to you, she created the sampler herself. Dang, it sounds like a compilation I'd love to buy!

Sorry, I should have included that in my first post this year as well as last. Ulrika has an excellent eye and ear, a knowledge of how to prune as well as how to gather. She's a first-class editor.
