Everybody doesn't know about Mississippi

Every time I've heard about this personhood vote in Mississippi, I've had Nina Simone providing the sound track in my head. I don't like that song, as a song; it grates on me. As a political statement, I know it's supposed to grate on me. I'd cynically expected Mississippi to pass this stupid law; I'm surprised and gratified to learn how wrong I was. Goddam!
