Mending

Today I'm doing one of those mending jobs that I've put off because it's tricky, and what if I screw it up? Well, what if I do? The dress is unwearable until I fix it, and if my mending is imperfect, that won't make it any worse than it is now.

And now that the mending is done, I remember why I put it off for so long. The dress is still unwearable because it's rayon, and it shrank in the wash.

A lot.

I may cut it up to make a shirt at some point, because it's an awesome print, and surely by now it has finished shrinking. Surely I will wash it a few more times to ensure that it really is finished shrinking.
